Käppala Wastewater Treatment Plant

On Lidingö in Stockholm is the Käppala Wastewater Treatment Plant.

NCC, in collaboration with the Käppala Association, will rebuild the plant to increase its capacity and treatment efficiency. The new treatment process will help reduce emissions of nitrogen, phosphorus, and organic material, contributing to a cleaner Baltic Sea.

The Käppala plant operates in confined underground spaces, which places high demands on logistics and working methods.

Pretec has supplied rock reinforcement for the project.
