In connection with the renovation of Lilla Akademien, an extensive reconstruction is being carried out to create a unique concert hall. We at Pretec are proud to have supplied several different products for the project.
Queen Silvia’s Concert Hall is located within the premises of the music school Lilla Akademien in Vasastan, Stockholm. On October 22, the official inaugural concert was held, attended by the King and Queen of Sweden. The concert hall is approximately 500 square metres in size and accommodates around 300 people.
The hall was designed by Italian architect Giorgio Palú, with world-renowned acoustician Yasuhisa Toyota responsible for the acoustics.
We at Pretec have supplied a wide range of products to our customer Carlhans Järnarbeten AB, who has been involved in the stunning detailing of this impressive concert hall. The collaboration with Carlhans has been excellent and has resulted in a very successful project!
In the ceiling, our M30 PDS and ASDO tie rods have been used to create a magnificent solution for the architect-designed roof. The construction also features numerous threaded rods running from floor to ceiling, together with our couplers, nuts, bolts, and washers. Our steel construction screws have also been used, serving as an elegant detail in the structure. Other products used in the project include wedge steel and Lindapter Type A fittings.
