Sickla wastewater treatment plant

Contractor: Veidekke
Location: Stockholm
Year: 2020-2025

In Stockholm, a 7-kilometre-long sewage tunnel is being built to renew and secure capacity for the future.

In total, the wastewater is carried 14 kilometres from the Bromma treatment plant to the Sickla facility. Veidekke is building 7 kilometres of the tunnel, working on the excavation of work/service tunnels and main tunnels, as well as shafts up to the surface and more.

Pretec has, among other things, supplied rock reinforcement in the form of ribbed steel, PC bolts, and HGS threaded rods for the project.
