Sorsele church

Contractor: Tyréns
Location: Sorsele
Year: 2023

The Sorsele Church is one of the oldest churches in Sweden.

When replacing the wooden shingle roof of the church, it was discovered that the roof structure needed reinforcement due to damage to the roof trusses. During the renovation, five iron rods were installed between the outer walls, visible in the raised vaulted ceiling inside the church. The roof trusses have also been secured with iron fittings and reinforcements.

Pretec supplied a custom solution for the project in the form of special M24 tie rods with tensioning function, all hot-dip galvanized.
