Stockholm Bypass-
Lovön

2021:
In Ekerö Municipality, work has begun on allowing the E4 Stockholm Bypass to run in a tunnel beneath Lovön and Lake Mälaren. The completion of the main tunnels under Lovön, which will be used for both public transport and road traffic, has been contracted to the Norwegian company AF Gruppen Norge AS. The work mainly involves building the remaining ramps and main tunnels, followed by the installation of technical systems inside the tunnels. The E4 Stockholm Bypass is scheduled to open to traffic in 2030.

We at Pretec are supplying rock reinforcement and tunnel lining for the project.

2022:
We are incredibly proud of our continued collaboration with AF Gruppen! Pretec will, over an extended period, serve as the main supplier of water and frost protection for the rock tunnels on Lovön. The contract includes the continuous supply of threaded rods, front and back washers, bolts, and fastening materials for the installation of approximately 500,000 m² of membrane together with around 13,000 wall elements. This contract is the single largest in the history of the Pretec Group!

The products, made of acid-resistant material, have been specially developed and manufactured in close cooperation with our customer to meet the project’s requirements. Thanks to our own workshop, we can offer customised solutions!
