The King’s House in Lund
Contractor: Malmö Byggcenter
Location: Lund
Year: 2022-2023
The King’s House in Lund, also known as the Lundagård House, was once Lund University’s first main building, constructed between 1578 and 1584.
The building covers about 1,500 m² of floor space and houses facilities for education and administration for the university.
Now, the Swedish National Property Board (Statens Fastighetsverk) is renovating the building to convert it into offices for the university management and its staff, which involves a complete reconstruction. An important aspect is improving accessibility and installing an elevator.
Our customer is Malmö Stålteknik, who has purchased ASDO tie rods that have been installed in the newly built elevator shaft.
