Tingstadstunneln

Since 2022, a complete renovation – both inside and out – has been carried out on the Tingstad Tunnel to extend its lifespan. The contractors worked on one tunnel tube at a time and completed the work in May 2024.
The Tingstad Tunnel is a 455-metre-long immersed tunnel under the Göta River, connecting Hisingen with mainland Gothenburg. The tunnel opened to traffic as early as 1968, and today around 125,000 vehicles pass through it every day.

We have supplied products to Peab, which, in collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), has been responsible for the full renovation of the tunnel. Products from Pretec used in the project include steel construction screws, screws, nuts, washers, Lindapter fittings, hook bolts, expansion anchors, anchoring compound, and cut threaded rods. Much of the material delivered was stainless steel.
