Tullhus Bridge
Contractor: Lecor
Location: Norrköping
Year: 2012
In 2012, the 71.6-meter-long, 125-ton bridge was built, featuring an hourglass-shaped structure made entirely of steel.
To manage the bridge’s slender design, it is anchored using negative bearings beneath a “yoke beam,” allowing the tensile forces to be transferred down into the bedrock via tie rods. In 2013, the Tullhus Bridge was nominated for the Swedish Steel Construction Prize (Stålbyggnadspriset).
At Pretec, we supplied ASDO tie rods in sizes M42 to M100.
