- Fiberglass bolts are used in areas inside the rock that will eventually be removed — in other words, in sections that will not remain in use over time. Our fiberglass bolts are an excellent alternative when you want to replace conventional ribbed steel bars with a product that offers three key advantages: - Lightweight and easy handling: Fiberglass bolts are significantly lighter than ribbed steel bars, making them easier to handle and reducing heavy lifting operations — which in turn improves workplace safety. (Fiberglass bolt: 980 g/m – Ribbed steel: 3.9 kg/m). - Temporary rock reinforcement: They serve as temporary rock reinforcement that can be easily crushed and removed during excavation. - High corrosion resistance: The bars offer excellent corrosion resistance in demanding environments and are also well suited for permanent protection.
