- Master Rust Protection Zinc is used to protect iron and steel surfaces, weld joints, etc. from corrosion. The finished paint film contains at least 90% zinc, which electrochemically bonds to iron or steel surfaces through the moisture in the air. The product is self-healing in the event of mechanical damage due to the zinc’s ability to spread over the exposed surface. Rust Protection Zinc provides corrosion protection comparable to hot-dip galvanizing but can be applied directly on-site.
