- The self-drilling anchor is a system for drilling and securing rock as well as loose ground materials. Drilling is carried out with a disposable drill bit attached to the bar, in contrast to traditional pre-drilling followed by bolt installation. The system is particularly well suited for demanding conditions with unstable rock and/or where drilling through loose ground is required to reach solid rock. This is because it prevents the borehole from collapsing, which is typically a challenge in poor ground conditions. The bars are fully threaded with hot-rolled threads, left-hand threaded according to ISO 10208 and ISO 1720.
